Yes. We will have refreshment stations along the route with water and squash available. At the Festival, there will be various food stalls from burgers to sweets & cakes and also a bar provided by The Globe Inn.

Group bookings are available but will need to be made by a responsible adult. Children under 16 will need to be accompanied at all times.

You can park at Tiverton Parkway overflow car park free of charge donated by APCOA.

You can bring your dog if you are walking, however, they must be kept on leads and under control at all times. Please ensure you pick up after your dog and use the bins provided.

Scooters are fine – especially for young children. Bikes are not recommended for Health and Safety reasons.

No, your number will be at the registration desk ready to collect. You should get an email in the week leading up to the event allocating you a number and registration desk to go to on the day. Please ensure the details on the reverse of your running bib are correct.

You will be able to participate in the Walk, but due to the narrow towpath, pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility scooters will not be able to participate with the Runners. As there are steps at the exit of the canal, an alternative route near the end of the walk be clearly marked.

Unfortunately not due to the amount of admin. Running numbers are all pre-populated and will be ready for collection on the day with your personal details.

Places on the bus can be reserved as part of your booking process but cannot be guaranteed for anyone on the day and are available on a limited basis. Each journey is a cost of £2 per person.

You can participate in the Walk at any age. To participate in the Run, you must be 16 or over. Anyone under 16's must be accompanied by a registered adult.

The event is called the 10k however it is slightly longer at just over 11k. For this reason, we will be going the extra mile for Young Lives Vs Cancer with the finish line in the field where there will be plenty to do at the festival. There will be a YLVC flag at the 10k point.

There are plenty of bridges along the route, some of which are really good places to stop and watch the Runners/Walkers go by. The bridges that we would recommend are: Manley Bridge, the car park on the left just before you get to Tiverton Road Bridge and Greenway Bridge. We also have a large finish line where you can wait for participants whilst enjoying the festival which is free to enter.

Yes it will! The Walk and Run will continue whatever the weather! Obviously we will have to consider what entertainment we will be able to provide at the Festival, this may have to be reduced slightly if it is raining – however there will definitely still be food stalls, bar and live bands performing.

There are toilets in the club house and also portaloos.

There will be live music, food stalls, facepainting, bouncy castles and other entertainment for you to enjoy after the Walk/Run. This will be finishing at approximately 16:30.

Yes, you can run with your friends as long as you register as a Group when registering online. If you do not register as a group, you will be put into your running category dependant on the time you select to complete a 10k.

No, this is a fun run to help raise money for Young Lives Vs Cancer but feel free to time your run on a personal device and try to beat your PB.

FAQ's - Festival

There will be a bus at 4:10 to Tiverton Canal Basin & 4:40pm to Cullompton. Each journey is a cost of £2 per person. Seats will be on a first come first served basis and not guaranteed unless prebooked on Eventbrite.

Absolutely. There will be inflatables and entertainment with music also suitable for childrens ears!
